Out and About

McGregor Mountain Lodge lies in the middle of one of the most special places on Earth. Being in the heart of the Rocky Mountains provides our guests with scenery that takes the breath away, beautiful mountain weather, and all the wildlife you could expect to see in the High Country of the Colorado Rockies. In fact, being located on the southern fringe of the Mummy Range, our property is a wonderful spot to see both the Black Canyon and Mummy Mountain herds of Bighorn Sheep.

We will have pictures of recent wildlife sightings, of beautiful Colorado scenery, or of anything that we think our past/present/future guests may find interesting, all taken from here on the wonderful property of McGregor Mountain Lodge.

Wild Life News - more wild life news...

04-07-2008: These bighorn sheep are taking advantege of a little free salt! They come down to lick the salt off the roads after the plows come by.

03-26-2008: This young ram, along with a few friends, spent the early afternoon grazing on the greening grass.

04-27-2008: A guest takes advantage of the grazing bighorn sheep and snaps a few photos.

Scenery and Weather

03-31-2008: We've been teased with spring-like weather! This recent snow storm reminds us we still have some winter ahead of us!

04-17-2008: A fresh spring snow blankets McGregor and Rocky Mountain National Park.

04-27-2008: The first flowers have bloomed here at the lodge! Spring is here!

Recent Improvements

03-20-2008: In many of the cabins we have upgraded to newer and nicer ovens!!

04-22-2008: New carpet is being laid in many of the cabins as well as in the lobby! Here, Steve and Carlos move some furniture out of the way for the carpet layers!
