It seems like winter is being a little stubborn this year! We woke up to 6 inches of heavy, wet, powder this morning. It is truly spectacular and the mountains look amazing! It is so nice to have the mix of conditions. One day, everything is green, the sky is blue, and the leaves are beginning to bud, the next day we are blanketed in fresh snow and the landscape is transformed into a winter wonderland. It’s spring in the Rockies for sure! I walked around a little bit last night and this morning and have a few shots to share… enjoy!

This morning we woke to a wet dusting of snow and a light rain falling. The clouds were low and rolling through the valley and the smells of a crisp mountain morning were thick! A truly amazing start to the day! We had a couple of elk grazing and even some ducks waddling through the property. The next few days are supposed to be a little rainy and gloomy, but we sure need the water so I’ll relish the opportunity to sit by the fire and relax while spring keeps doing its job of bringing the mountains to life!
