Well, spring in the Rockies is famous for being fickle about how it wants to act. One day it will be in the 60’s, the next in the 20’s and dumping snow. The next 24 hours could bring 2 feet of heavy wet powder to the lodge here in the Fall River Valley! It’s snowing lightly as I write this and is just now starting to pick up a bit.

In anticipation of this storm, we have been working hard to get some new carpet installed and get the rest of our carpet all cleaned up for the coming busy season. We will have new carpet in the Chalet’s (15, 16, 17, & 18), #7, and in #11. It looks great!

That’s it for now… I’ll be updating the lower chalet pics on the website the rest of the day. So check those out sometime soon!

And I’ll be posting a few pics and hopefully a video (need to charge up the camera) of this storm, so get your coats on!

More snow!

It seems like winter is being a little stubborn this year! We woke up to 6 inches of heavy, wet, powder this morning. It is truly spectacular and the mountains look amazing! It is so nice to have the mix of conditions. One day, everything is green, the sky is blue, and the leaves are beginning to bud, the next day we are blanketed in fresh snow and the landscape is transformed into a winter wonderland. It’s spring in the Rockies for sure! I walked around a little bit last night and this morning and have a few shots to share… enjoy!
