“McGregor Mountain Lodge is awesome! The scenery and wildlife is incredible! Staff and owners are great and the dog staff are quite the greeters! We keep coming back because this place is a great place to stay while enjoying God’s country!!”

Jerry and Diana Ream — Knotty Pine Room 8B — October 4, 2011
“We don’t get to RMNP nearly often enough, but when we visited 3 years ago, we “discovered” McGregor and that has just added to our enjoyment of the area. This year we stayed in 8B again because we like the coziness of the cabin/room. It’s just the right size for 2 people to settle into. But from what we’ve experienced while staying here, all of the units are set up with everything anyone could need – and look inviting. (we may have to try another unit next time – and there WILL be a next time) For us, McGregor has everything we look for in a vacation stay – comfort, friendliness, location, and good $ value.”

John Waterbury — Upper Chalet Suite #17 — June 8, 2010

Patty Ruyle — Pinon Cottage #2 — September 17, 2009
“Our family vacations in Estes every year. Because of your concern and awareness of your accommodations and property, this has been our best vacation by far. The Pinon was beautiful and had such a cozy, warm, mountain feel. Beds and pillows were comfortable and all the special touches inside the cabin and outside on the property made this vacation our most memorable. Thank you for such a beautiful place! We love the mascots too. Hope to see you again. We will certainly stay with you on our next vacation.”

Mimi & Mike — Old Caretakers Cottage — September 13, 2009
“Came for eight summers when daughter growing up – great memories for the 3 of us. We came back after four or five years and still the wonderful place we remember. Wildlife all around, deer, elk, birds, bunnies and chipmunks at this lodge. They have made improvements and as clean as ever! We’ll be back again soon!”

Lee & Melody Kauffman — Old Caretakers Cottage — July 2, 2009
“When we decided we wanted to return to RMNP, I searched the internet and decided on Estes Park area. Last time we only spent one day at RMNP and stayed in Grand Lake. We chose McGregor based on location and reviews. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of our accommodations. When booking, I spoke with Susan who advised that I had chosen the best cottage on the property. We didn’t see the others, but were very pleased with ours. The daily elk visits were an added perk! Daisy and Tanner were great. Thank you for a great place for our RMNP vacation! We’ll be back!”

The O’Brien Family — Columbine Cottage #6 — March 29, 2009

“We enjoyed our stay at McGregor Lodge. We came at this time of year for our 15th anniversary and hoping to see a variety of wildlife. From the 1st afternoon to the morning we left we were not dissapointed. Elk, Bighorn Sheep, Mule Deer, variety of birds, squirrels, including an aberts squirrel, and a red fox with a bonus of a rare black fox. All this without leaving the lodge.”

Sally Evans — Upper Chalet Suite #18 — July 18, 2008
“This is our second time here in unit 18. I love it here & would come back here every summer if I could. The housekeeping staff was extremely respectful of us sleeping late and seemed to wait until they saw us to ask if we needed anything or to take the trash. Unit 18 is so incredibly private & quiet. The hummingbird feeder right outside the window brought me joy. Thanks for a great vacation!”

“The views are wonderful. Loved the bull elk licking the birdfeeder! There is everything you need but the cozy, down-to-earth atmosphere is just right to relax and enjoy this beautiful country. The little touches show great care of the innkeepers; eg. birdfeeders in view, firewood, matches and starters, DVD’s/Videos to rent, cookies and cider in the office. We celebrated our four year wedding anniversary here this year and it was a perfect time. Thank you all! We look forward to returning!”

“McGregor Mountain Lodge makes a wonderful vacation! It’s great to bring our pup and have a nearly-all-included retreat! It’s beautiful, simple, relaxing, fun, and memorable. I believe it gently snowed the whole weekend – a peaceful winter wonderland! We were so amazed at elk! It’s very special to read about the experiences of other guests in the journals in each cabin. The entire lodge is so nice and well taken care of, and everyone is very friendly. We stayed at the Pinon Cabin for our anniversary in March 2006, and are returning this year – we’ve now adopted this vacation as part of our family tradition. “Last year was our first year staying at McGregor. Within 3 weeks of returning home, we booked again for this year. The presence of so many animals on the grounds (elk, coyotes, red fox, chipmunks and the amazing birds). The magpies and humming birds are fascinating to watch outside our windows, and the chipmunks make us laugh! Trevor and Daisy are wonderful hosts and the human staff are always willing to do anything to make our stay perfect. We love sitting on the porch and watching the critters and relaxing by the fire at night is the perfect way to end the day. Thanks for creating the most relaxing vacation “home” we’ve ever enjoyed.”

Cookies each day an unexpected treat!”
