One thing that our property is known for is the prevalence of the bighorn sheep. They love our sunny, south facing, mountainside and are often found here grazing on the property. Today, around 11:30, there was a small herd of one ewe and two younger rams. The sun is out toady and there is a little breeze with very mild temps… a perfect day for wildlife watching, especially with the grass beginning to green here at the lower elevations. I sat up with the sheep for about 20 minutes, just watching and snapping pics when the time seemed right. Here are a few… enjoy!

While, thankfully, we didn’t see the amount of snow our neighbors in Denver and surrounding areas experienced, we had a much needed spring snow storm roll through yesterday. It blanketed us in a gorgeous seven inches of fresh powder! The snow let up a bit last night so I was able to walk around and get some pictures of the property. It was so peaceful with a light snow falling, the muffled landscape, and the soft glow of the lights over the property.
This morning was even more spectacular! The clearing storm provided dramatic clouds separated by snow capped peaks and blue Colorado skies! A perfect Spring morning!
Enjoy the pics and get up here soon for some great snowshoeing!
